Thomas Gardner

Thomas Richard Gardner graduated from St. Vincent College in Latrobe PA in 1976 with a degree in Music Education. He came to the Lord in 1978 in a local Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and began a detailed study of the Bible shortly thereafter.

 

This study included Greek and Old Testament history and Archaeology and two years of private tutoring in Hebrew and Torah as a student of the late Rabbi Herbert Gilner.

 

Thom also graduated with a Masters of Applied Ministry from Cornerstone Seminary in Harrisonburg , VA and has also taught several courses and seminars there. 

 

Thom has ministered as a Bible teacher or pastor since 1986, and is now President of Grace and Truth Fellowship, Inc.; a ministry dedicated to healing wounded emotions.The mission statement includes training and raising up healing teams throughout the body of Christ.

 

Thom and his wife Carol travel internationally speaking and teaching on spiritual formation and intimacy with God. Thom has authored several books including Healing the Wounded Heart, Relentless Love, and My Healing Journey, Living the God-breathed Life, and Everything That Grows.

 

Thom also works with leaders throughout the body of Christ equipping them to trust one another as a spiritual team. This training includes leading retreats and using his techniques of interactive encounter of the presence of Christ through the scriptures.

 

Thom is now completing his DMin focussing on spiritual formation.

Mary Lyn Bartek

Mary Lyn Bartek is a sensitive and anointed healing prayer minister who has been ministering emotional healing as Thom’s associate since 2003. Through her ministry she has seen many others restored to the place of intimacy and rest in Father’s embrace and released into their personal destiny.

 

 

Prior to her work with Grace and Truth, Mary Lyn served in a variety of leadership roles in the body of Christ. She lived and worked among poor and needy people in the Tidewater area of Virginia for six years directing a host of programs for a missions organization. She also worked as Director of Christian Education in two different denominational settings and has served as a women’s retreat speaker.

 

 

Coupled with two decades of ministry experience, Mary Lyn also worked as a Mobile Therapist and Behavior Specialist in the area of mental health. Mary Lyn has a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Regent University. Above all of her training and experience, Mary Lyn  is a follower of Jesus Christ who brings a wealth of personal experience from her own walk with Jesus which allows her to connect compassionately with those to whom she ministers.

Sheila Anderson

Sheila was called to the ministry of pastoral care and healing prayer while working as a registered nurse over 20 years ago. Her experience in nursing fueled her passion to care for people not only physically, but holistically, including care of soul and spirit as well.  This led her to Pastor Thom Gardner's ministry. 

 

 Sheila says, "In 2006, I attended Pastor Thom's Healing the Wounded Heart Seminar--it was a pivotal experience in my life and journey with Jesus Christ!"  Sheila has been a friend and ministry associate ever since. She considers it a great joy and privilege being part of a ministry whose goal is bringing healing and freedom to broken people and facilitating body, soul, and spirit healing in the presence of the Great Physician, Wonderful Counsellor, and Loving Lord.

 

Sheila has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling and Care from Ashland Theological Seminary (ATS) and a Certificate in Formational Prayer from the Institute of Formational Counseling (ATS) where she serves as caregiver and an advisor in the Formational Prayer Seminars and Certificate Program. Sheila finds great joy in facilitating Healing Journey small groups as well as individual ministry. She considers it a great honor and privilege helping others move forward on their journeys with Christ in freedom, healing, and wholeness.
